U.S. Navy Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 15 deployed to Camp Fallujah, Iraq took time out from executing convoy security missions to get together and send a message back to friends and family. The team provides safe and secure movement of material, equipment, tools and personnel throughout 58,000 square miles of Al Anbar Province.

The MCB 53 Alumni Association

Welcome to our updated Home Page!  Our previous web page had over 13,780 visitors.  Our Seabee Motto "CAN DO" keeps the Association humming!  If there is something special that you would like to see or contribute, please contact the Association Officers or use the feedback forms in this web site.  Constructive criticism is always welcomed.

The MCB 53 Alumni Association was founded in 1989 with Ralph Storti taking a leading role.  Today's database lists 1,290 former members of the Battalion.  Of these, 122 are from the WW II Era, while the remainder are from the 1968 and 1969 Tours to Vietnam.  There are good names, addresses and phone numbers for 550 of them, 105 others have since passed away, and another 635 of our brothers are still waiting for us to find them.  Keeping our data base accurate requires a group effort.

Membership dues are $15.00 a year payable to the MCB 53 Alumni Association. This helps defray the cost of Quarterly MCB 53 Beeline Newsletters, Postage, Phone Calls, Paper Supplies, Photo Copying, etc., etc.  New members are emailed or mailed a one time copy of the contact information for our Association members.  The rising cost of paper, envelopes, postage, and duplicating preclude constantly mailing out a current database (over twelve pages).  Together we can and do find ways to share contact information with improving formats.  Once again, constructive thoughts are always appreciated.

We've had eleven reunions to date: PA in 1992, OH in 1993, FL in 1995, MN in 1996, SC in 1998, MA in 1999, NV in 2001, PA in 2002, FL in 2004, MO in 2005 and VA in 2007. Our next one will be in Honolulu, HI in October 2008. Seattle, WA will be the site of the following reunion in August of 2010.
